These BBQ Chicken Burgers are the very best, tender juicy chicken with your favorite bbq sauce. We like to top them with Cole-slow, to add some vegetable. The boys were not fooled they know the Cole-slow has vegetables. (they are just going through that faze where they don’t eat vegetables they will grow out of it)  Bbq Chicken Burgers are great without the Cole-slow, makes a soft juicy sandwich. My daughter prefers chicken thighs over chicken breasts, so I used chicken thighs, but you can use chicken breasts. The thighs are cheaper than the breasts so that makes them a good choice, I buy them at sprouts farmers market, they have fat juicy chicken thighs their chicken has no antibiotics or growth hormones, you can buy grass fed meat if you prefer. BBQ Chicken Burger are great served with zucchini fries, the boys will eat zucchini fries with Parmesan cheese; its one of the only vegetables they will eat, and they love eggplant.

 

 

BBQ Chicken Burgers

 

2 Pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 cup BBQ sauce
¼ cup Italian dressing
¼ cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt to taste (I used Himalayan)

Directions

Season chicken thighs lightly (a small pinch per thigh) with some sea salt and place in your crock pot.
In a mixing bowl combine BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combined.
Pour over chicken, cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours
Once time is up, you can serve the thighs whole, or shred with 2 forks. If shredding, recover and let cook in sauce for about 10-15 more minutes to soak up all that delish flavor.
Serve on buns, or in wraps. Our favorite way is, topped with coleslaw.
